It has been a signature style of Reydel's paintings in which a tremendous amount of details and stories are to be discovered. However, a true story happened in reality outside of the painting. During a severe shortage crisis of canvas supply in Cuba, Reydel was creating the piece titled "The Dreamer". For months, he could not have a new canvas. In order to unleash the unstoppable imaginations in his mind, he could only keep adding new content to the same canvas. The Dreamer was finished with a life story of its own about how it was actually born during a crisis.
